In addition to the font I posted about a few days ago, the Dutch government has also commissioned a commemorative 5 euro coin. Not only is this coin beautiful, but the design was very well thought out. You can read about the fascinating process of designing the coin in a post written by the winner, Stani. How could I have missed knitPro? This awesome application takes any image and creates knitting patterns from them! I have big knitting plans after I am done with school in December, and this site now figures heavily into them!
microRevolt, the website behind the application a craftivist site which focuses on feminism, sweatshops and crafting. Go on and check it out!
The Dutch government commissioned an official font and logo via a design competition. You can see the winning entry by Peter Verheul over at designworkplan. I wonder if, now that we have a design savvy President we can expect to see something similar within the mish-mash of US Government websites and publications?
Two of my very favorite people have their birthdays today, so I thought that we would have two daily videos reflecting their very eclectic tastes. The first one is for you mom! It’s the only Bryan Adams video we’ll ever agree on!
